it's a costume party... for the hair.

so i am getting my haircut this weekend which i have been wanting for the longest time. well i was looking online for exactly what i have been wanting and i came across this way fun hair blog that brought a smile to my face. the make-up and hair is so crazy and wild yet so much glamour and fashionista. now i don't think i am going to be getting my hair done like this however, but then again i do love to stand out. ;)
.
one of my favorites of the bunch.

reminds me well of queen amidala from star wars does she not?

i swear this is uma thurman.

have you ever seen "mars attacks"? this one reminds me of the alien that dresses up as a woman and then seduces martin short unintentionally. or it also reminds me of an early barbie.

i could see this one desplayed in a vogue magazine.

yeah this one is definately my favorite.

another amazing one.

so check out this person's blog:

and peace out!

picture-perfect smiles fading....

Softly we tremble tonight,
picture perfect fading smiles are all that's left in sight,
I said I'd never leave you'll never change
I'm not satisfied with where I'm at in life.

Am I supposed to be happy?
With all I ever wanted, it comes with a price.
Am I supposed to be happy?
With all I ever wanted, it comes with a price.
You said, you said that you would die for me.

We made plans to grow old,
believe me there was truth in all those stories that I told.
Lost in a simple game cat and mouse are we the same people as before this came to light?

Am I supposed to be happy?
with all I ever wanted, it comes with a price.
Am I supposed to be happy?
with all I ever wanted, it comes with a price.
You said, you said that you would die for me

You must live for me, too...
For me too...yeah, yeah
You said that you would die for me

Am I supposed to be happy?
with all I ever wanted, it comes with a price.
Am I supposed to be happy?
with all I ever wanted, it comes with a price
You said, you said that you would die for me

lately i have felt so confused by men. growing up i used to think that men were so predictable and easy to critique. but now i feel like i was wrong all along. i can never seem to figure out what they are thinking or why they do the things they do. i feel as if my eyes and ears have been blotted out with confusion and lies leaving me with not but my thoughts. he said that he never wanted to lose me, but i fearly wonder if this is truely his plan of keeping me near...
i don't understand why such small-minded doubts cross his mind about me. i am the most honest person i have ever met and support everyone around me the best i know how. i know what it is like to cry myself to sleep because no one listens to my problems so i feel it is my duty to make others feel cared for and listened to. i dream of the day that someone will just be there for me no matter what, back me up when i don't agree with someone else's opinion. even if they don't agree with my opinion they still stand up for me because they love me and would do anything for me. i don't have anyone like that. i mean, i have so many friends but none of them would do anything for me. none of them would defend me against my enemies. none of them would buy me a frapaccino when i am having a bad day just to make me smile. :) none of them have empathy. sympathy maybe, but not empathy. no one cares about just listening. listening to no end, just because they love me.

from one room to another

i found this song/poem on youtube today. it was done byt futureshorts. they make short videos (obviously) but the thing i love most about them is each one has such meaning and makes you think. i seriously have gone through so many mood changes in the past half hour watching some of these. the first one i watched was crazy and made me laugh and then the next minute i was near tears, then i was onto empathy, then i landed on a high. then i watched this one called "from one room to another". this one is a very long one being a little over ten minutes long. i thought that the director made it a little too long because the point of the video was in the middle and then just had shots of water and drain pipes for most of the rest. but the song that starts a few minutes into the video is sad but moving. it is sung by motionless, monotone children stuck in a classroom. it is done in a foreign language but is still quite beautiful.

here is the song:

the pattern on the curtain

same as before

you've waited

for so long

that they love you

that they want you to stay

want you to nurse the illusion

that everything's alright

nobody's feeling cold

and angel's wings are pure

from room to room

from room to room

and never out

the same dream again and again

the cuts are deep

knots don't hold

no room in the corner

you had it all

you wouldn't crush them

the mold tighter than ever

.

and if you want to watch the whole video, here is the link:

.

but please check out their other videos especially. my favorites so far are:

the black hole..... my take: crazy!

who's gonna save my soul? ..... my take: i love the beginning half but then it gets a little too corny for me by the end with the singing heart.

skeletons in the closet.... my take: very well done!

please say something......... my take: depressing but moving and true!

and

D.I.Y. ..... my take: a complete masterpiece.

it's a park life.

also on la2day i found this fun spring-y photo spreadsheet based a life spent in the park. having a beautiful park near my house, i love spending a lot of my time there drawing and daydreaming. along with the photos, the website put up a song by "blur" to go along with the pictures. i hope you enjoy looking at them and reading the song as much as i did.

Confidence is a preference for the habitual voyeur of what is known as...
Parklife.
And morning soup can be avoided if you take a route straight through what is known as...
Parklife.
John's got brewers droop, he gets intimidated by the dirty pigeons - they love a bit of it.
Parklife.
Who's that gut lord marching? You should cut down on your porklife, mate, get some exercise!
Parklife.

I get up when I want, except on Wednesdays, when I get rudely wakened by the dustmen.
Parklife.
I put my trousers on, have a cup of tea, and I think about leaving the house.
Parklife.

I feed the pigeons, I sometimes feed the sparrows too. It gives me a sense of enormous well-being.
Parklife.
And then I'm happy for the rest of the day, safe in the knowledge there will always be a bit of my heart devoted to it.
Parklife.

It's got nothing to do with your vorsprung durch technic, you know.
Parklife.
And it's not about you joggers who go round and round and round...
Parklife.

Parklife.

i am not going to lie, i love clowns. not the fake halloween versions, but the real authentic ones. you know, the kind like "it" that made you fear even the word "clown". whilst looking around the internet i found this article from july of 2008 on young women in swimsuits with their faces lightly painted with florecent colors. i instantly fell in love with the photos and makes me crave summer.
here is a snipet of the article:
"As The Dark Knight has proven, clowns are in. But had they ever gone out? Or had they just been hiding, lingering in the back of your mind, sneaking through your subconscious and waiting to laugh in your face all over again. They've been sent in this summer to terrorize Gotham via Heath Ledger's sociopathic alter-ego and now LA2DAY brings them to our Los Angeles shores in our new fashion photo spread as captured by Shannon Rowland." - Jeremy Tarr.
.
amd here is where i found them:

who is she? sandra nurmsalu

i found this girl randomly on youtube.com just now and i have no idea who she is or where she came from! but i have one thing to say about her: I. LOVE. HER. !!!!

her voice is absolutely amazing. plus she plays the violin. i tried looking her up on google but everything that comes up are just videos and biographies in other languages. i believe she is from somewhere in estonia. all of her music that i have heard so far is in her native language. i would highly appreciate it if someone could inform me more about this talented woman! here is the video of which i discovered her:

please check this girl out and let me know if you find anything out!

kime at her best.

here is an update on my favorite blogger and one of my most admired artists:
kime buzzelli.
i just love how she makes her women so gorgeous and sexy, without going overboard. and the use of watercolors is so apealing and fun! it is a pity that she closed down her store in l.a. commonly know as "show pony". it was so original and it saddens me to see it end! but she won't be stopping her art any time soon i hope because i adore every part of this girl! she is absolutely adorable! please check her out! here is her blog address:
i love the look of the girl on the right!

kime often paints her women with crazy hair colors and styles.

this one reminds me a picture i saw once of kiersten stewart who is a young actress here in america.

the beautiful artist herself at home.

her cat, georgie boy and friend, with kime in the background getting down to business with her art.

keep dreaming and please check this girl out!

she'd like to invite you.

my new passion in music is kerli.

the 21-year-old is from a small soviet- occupied town of elva. where she came from, it was wrong to express your feelings. says kerli herself,

"i'm a passionate person. where i come from, it was a shame to show your emotions. you could never be too happy, because something bad might happen. i was always a passionate person. i wanted to live every moment. i looked around me, and it was beautiful, but i wanted something more."

kerli won a singing competition at 14. and at an audition with chairman antonio "L.A." reid, was immediately signed up for a contract. she wrote all of her own songs, being inspired by her own hometown.

"Being here has enabled me to grow as a person," she says. "What I like here, which I never had in Estonia, is that people really do believe they can become whatever they want to become. My background has made me what I am, but it must be so much better to grow up in an environment where nobody tells you that you can't do something. My dream of leaving and making music was my escape. I had no other options." says kerli of moving to america.

for more on kerli and her songs, check out this biography of her:

something i really love about kerli is that she is absolutely original, plus she sounds amazing live. she actually came to my home state of utah and preformed all of her songs. unfortunately i could not make it but you can see all the preformances on youtube.com by just typing in "kerli live in orem". another thing i admire is that she is not afraid to be weird or scary. as she would put it,

"everyone has two sides: a light and a dark. i like to walk the line in between the two."

check out this awesomely- crazy teaser of her first and most recent album:

really you should check it out, along with my favorite songs from the album:

1. love is dead (song is self explanitory but the music video is crazy but deeply moving)
2. bulletproof (having to do with staying with someone but asking them to be careful with them because they can still hurt)

3. butterfly cry (about getting out of her depression she used to have)

4. walking on air (beautiful music video)

kerli is the most touching, deep-thinking singer out there right now in my opinion and is more unlike anyone i have ever heard in our generation. please check her out if you have not already experienced her music. it is NOT a disapointment in the least.
.
i found all the photos on google images.

have a wonderful day and keep dreaming creepy dreams.

the romantic

one of my all time adored fashion designers is none other than vera wang. i believe there is not one fashion lover out in this world that has never heard of her. when a woman is about to get married, i highly doubt a vera wang wedding dress has not been on their wish lists whether they could afford it or not. vera is one of the most romantic designers of all time in my opinion. i think she invented modern romance. here are a few of my favorite ads and pictures from her dresses, ready-to-wear, and perfume.
.
i think that vera captures innocence among flowers with deep dark hues that wrap you in a silky dream.

the dress on the left was worn by anjelina jolie in a previous vogue magazine.

this is one of my most treasured possesions: vera wang princess perfume. not only does it smell beautiful with the hint of flowers and vanilla, but the ads are sponsered by camilla belle, who is one of my favorites. if you are thinking of a gift you want or are trying to decide on the perfect perfume for you, pick this sweet find. it is not a disapointment.

sometimes the makeup people can create on models or actresses just amazes me. here, i adore the eyebrows.
a favorite wedding dress from wang.

this is one of my favorite ads for vera's simply vera: vera wang at kohl's. i love carousels and so when vera placed her clothing on models in a desert-y playground setting, i fell head over heels.
vera wang herself. a gorgeous woman of vision.
my favorite perfume ad from wang ever. such passion and love.

another simply vera: vera wang from kohl's.
this one captivates me.

i got these pictures from google images. they were each from different websites but easy to find just by typing in :

enjoy and keep daydreaming.
