welcome to my life.

i finally did it! i finally got my hair cut and colored! i thought me mum would kill me for getting purple but she actually let it go pretty quick. i am definately not a good photographer so these pics are the best i could do.

this weekend has been so boring and unexhilerating. me mum doesn't let me do anything on this weekend of the year because it is some big religious thing that she believes i need my full attention provided towards so that's why i haven't posted much. as soon as it's over i have a lot to discuss though!
i better get going before i get in trouble. grr.
.
keep daydreaming and hopefully your weekend is more exciting than mine!

boring my butt off.

i sluffed sociology today. why? because it is the dumbest class ever. this is like my 50th time sluffing it too. so i drove home (not before buying some flavored blasted goldfish though) and am now sitting listening to music. alanis morisette at the moment. sorry this is such a dumb and short entry but i got nothing on me right now. please forgive me and keep daydreaming.
.
that is where i found the picture.
.
my hell i want a frapaccino....

the fury of the purple.

alright ladies and gentler ones, i have finally gotten my hair cut and colored. i just got it done last night so no pictures yet! but don't worry, i will get some up as soon as possible.

now, being the very unfortunate young woman that i am, i still live with me mum (don't be so disapointed, i still got 2 months til i graduate highschool!) so bright crazy-ass colors are totally out of the question. but before you feel too sorry for me, when i went and got my hair done, i had the wonderful hair-dresser put a few purple streaks in it. i told her me mum could shove it. ;) i mean after all, it wasn't my whole hair i was dying purple was it? no. so i totally got away with it. along with some purple on either side, i got a dark brown-ish auburn color on top then black underneath it all (and all of a sudden "no doubt" 's music pops into my head). oh and the above picture with kristen stewart is pretty much what i look like only the girl does not have my rad purple and my auburn is a little darker. now until i can get my own photos up, i decided to let you all take a glance at other "purple-haired" looks that i randomly found on photobucket. enjoy!

this one is actually more pink with a blue streak but who cares? i like it ok?

this is an example of what me mum would not let me do:

how could i resist putting up a picture of mila in ultraviolet.... i couldn't. :)

okay so the overly-gifted gal that did my hair (dawn) just did her own hair similar to this. only instead of brown all over, it was black underneath and white on top. it was so awesome. she did it herself (with the help of her bf) and once did it with orange, turquoise, and pink.

i love this one. i have always loved the blond with dark on the bottom. i doubt i could ever pull it off however, so i have never done it. i look odd with blonde hair.

gawl my hair is so thin, i have such jealousy for those who can poof their hair to the sky.

this one is pretty much my fav of the bunch.

so hopefully i can get my own face and hair up here soon. just depends on my camera which is acting up again. sigh
i also gotta go get ready for school and can i just say that i can not wait to be in college? i hate highschool and its small-minded, cell-phone obssessed, high drama students that attend it. i hate the cliques and the unnessasary rudeness. i am not trying to be um "self rightious" when i say that i am mature and they are not. is that too evil to admit? seriously though, i can not have one single passionate, intellectual, deep-minded conversation with anyone in my whole school, or with anyone my age and under for that matter. the girls only talk about boys and gossip.... and the latest "gossip girl" episode. the "boys" only talk about their muscles and what girls they "did" last weekend. believe you me, my generation is a dying breed. i feel like self mutalating myself out of frustration and impatience to live my own life in the real world. (don't worry i won't though) i need a change, my hair was not enough. i need to go.... go where "no one i know will find me" (that was from "nick and norah" if you didn't recognize it)
well i really should get going. i am going to be late, again. not that i need to take a class about adults anyways seeing as i already feel more like one then the rest of my class. (i have "adult roles" first period haha)
.
well peace out and sorry about my venting, but isn't that what blogs are for? :)

the siren song.

it is nearly the start of a new month and you know what that means? a new photospread from LA2day! this time they went a whole new route from the "park life" from the beginning of march and chose to dive into the sea to discover the beauty of women in its depths. Sparkly jewels, colorful ribbons, and bright eyeshadows compelled the photos with intriguing zeal. along with the spread there came a little poem by jeremy tarr. enjoy!
Far away from these maudlin shores
Through amber waves and misty moors
In wildest seas where serpents do slither
Beckons mermaids to sailors a coy come hither.
I followed their cries through seven great oceans
Their lilting sweet songs steering my devotion
Whilst I battled Neptune's waves and crazed cyclones
And fought off eager offers from Hades' Charon.

With eyes like pearls from oyster's fresh mouths
And scales and gills that wriggled down south,
With cheeks rouge in purples and ambers and plums
My brain when I saw them went curiously numb.
Awake I stirred to the sight of chaste sprites
And I swam with them all through water's black night.
Blonde and auburn curls danced in God's blue drink
My lust carried me forth, my brain ceased to think.

They cautioned me to flee whilst time still made sense
And fight off the sleep that thrives at love's expense.
But warnings and heeds I cast down to rocks
And chased but instead their dancing nymph locks.
They asked me to marry and be their good groom
And to live on the sea-floor in my watery tomb
To an alter they took me as a king to his crowning
And as my gasp came to close, I realized I was drowning.

picture-perfect smiles fading....

Softly we tremble tonight,
picture perfect fading smiles are all that's left in sight,
I said I'd never leave you'll never change
I'm not satisfied with where I'm at in life.

Am I supposed to be happy?
With all I ever wanted, it comes with a price.
Am I supposed to be happy?
With all I ever wanted, it comes with a price.
You said, you said that you would die for me.

We made plans to grow old,
believe me there was truth in all those stories that I told.
Lost in a simple game cat and mouse are we the same people as before this came to light?

Am I supposed to be happy?
with all I ever wanted, it comes with a price.
Am I supposed to be happy?
with all I ever wanted, it comes with a price.
You said, you said that you would die for me

You must live for me, too...
For me too...yeah, yeah
You said that you would die for me

Am I supposed to be happy?
with all I ever wanted, it comes with a price.
Am I supposed to be happy?
with all I ever wanted, it comes with a price
You said, you said that you would die for me

lately i have felt so confused by men. growing up i used to think that men were so predictable and easy to critique. but now i feel like i was wrong all along. i can never seem to figure out what they are thinking or why they do the things they do. i feel as if my eyes and ears have been blotted out with confusion and lies leaving me with not but my thoughts. he said that he never wanted to lose me, but i fearly wonder if this is truely his plan of keeping me near...
i don't understand why such small-minded doubts cross his mind about me. i am the most honest person i have ever met and support everyone around me the best i know how. i know what it is like to cry myself to sleep because no one listens to my problems so i feel it is my duty to make others feel cared for and listened to. i dream of the day that someone will just be there for me no matter what, back me up when i don't agree with someone else's opinion. even if they don't agree with my opinion they still stand up for me because they love me and would do anything for me. i don't have anyone like that. i mean, i have so many friends but none of them would do anything for me. none of them would defend me against my enemies. none of them would buy me a frapaccino when i am having a bad day just to make me smile. :) none of them have empathy. sympathy maybe, but not empathy. no one cares about just listening. listening to no end, just because they love me.

from one room to another

i found this song/poem on youtube today. it was done byt futureshorts. they make short videos (obviously) but the thing i love most about them is each one has such meaning and makes you think. i seriously have gone through so many mood changes in the past half hour watching some of these. the first one i watched was crazy and made me laugh and then the next minute i was near tears, then i was onto empathy, then i landed on a high. then i watched this one called "from one room to another". this one is a very long one being a little over ten minutes long. i thought that the director made it a little too long because the point of the video was in the middle and then just had shots of water and drain pipes for most of the rest. but the song that starts a few minutes into the video is sad but moving. it is sung by motionless, monotone children stuck in a classroom. it is done in a foreign language but is still quite beautiful.

here is the song:

the pattern on the curtain

same as before

you've waited

for so long

that they love you

that they want you to stay

want you to nurse the illusion

that everything's alright

nobody's feeling cold

and angel's wings are pure

from room to room

from room to room

and never out

the same dream again and again

the cuts are deep

knots don't hold

no room in the corner

you had it all

you wouldn't crush them

the mold tighter than ever

.

and if you want to watch the whole video, here is the link:

.

but please check out their other videos especially. my favorites so far are:

the black hole..... my take: crazy!

who's gonna save my soul? ..... my take: i love the beginning half but then it gets a little too corny for me by the end with the singing heart.

skeletons in the closet.... my take: very well done!

please say something......... my take: depressing but moving and true!

and

D.I.Y. ..... my take: a complete masterpiece.

it's a park life.

also on la2day i found this fun spring-y photo spreadsheet based a life spent in the park. having a beautiful park near my house, i love spending a lot of my time there drawing and daydreaming. along with the photos, the website put up a song by "blur" to go along with the pictures. i hope you enjoy looking at them and reading the song as much as i did.

Confidence is a preference for the habitual voyeur of what is known as...
Parklife.
And morning soup can be avoided if you take a route straight through what is known as...
Parklife.
John's got brewers droop, he gets intimidated by the dirty pigeons - they love a bit of it.
Parklife.
Who's that gut lord marching? You should cut down on your porklife, mate, get some exercise!
Parklife.

I get up when I want, except on Wednesdays, when I get rudely wakened by the dustmen.
Parklife.
I put my trousers on, have a cup of tea, and I think about leaving the house.
Parklife.

I feed the pigeons, I sometimes feed the sparrows too. It gives me a sense of enormous well-being.
Parklife.
And then I'm happy for the rest of the day, safe in the knowledge there will always be a bit of my heart devoted to it.
Parklife.

It's got nothing to do with your vorsprung durch technic, you know.
Parklife.
And it's not about you joggers who go round and round and round...
Parklife.

i am not going to lie, i love clowns. not the fake halloween versions, but the real authentic ones. you know, the kind like "it" that made you fear even the word "clown". whilst looking around the internet i found this article from july of 2008 on young women in swimsuits with their faces lightly painted with florecent colors. i instantly fell in love with the photos and makes me crave summer.
here is a snipet of the article:
"As The Dark Knight has proven, clowns are in. But had they ever gone out? Or had they just been hiding, lingering in the back of your mind, sneaking through your subconscious and waiting to laugh in your face all over again. They've been sent in this summer to terrorize Gotham via Heath Ledger's sociopathic alter-ego and now LA2DAY brings them to our Los Angeles shores in our new fashion photo spread as captured by Shannon Rowland." - Jeremy Tarr.

amd here is where i found them:
